As the cost of living has increased around the nation, many Americans are feeling thinner wallets and are paying for it at the pump. This has caused conservatives around the country to call out the Biden administration on the rising prices caused by "Bidenflation." In a short video released early Monday morning, Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), responds to President Joe Biden's (D) remarks on these high gas prices, calling on the President to "admit that you're wrong and reverse course."

".@POTUS, enough is enough. Admit you made a mistake, and go back to the pro-energy policies that worked," stated Rep. Mast.
"We did not think we would be paying $3.42 for a gallon of gas in 2021," Mast begins his video. "We certainly did not think we would be paying $4.66 or $5.22 in 2022." Mast then states that, "we didn't think we would have a President who would make the wrong decision at every turn and drive our energy prices through the roof."
According to AAA, gas prices have gone up $1.20 in one year.
The Florida Representative then calls for the authorization of the Keystone XL pipeline and the "leasing, exploration, and refining, and working with domestic companies to once again become energy independent."
Easily the most scathing portion of Mast's video response is his remark that Biden is "gaslighting us" as to why gas prices have increased, blaming "everyone from Vladimir Putin to local gas station owners."
Moreover, the Florida Congressman also took a swipe at the Biden administration's border security approach. In a tweet Sunday, Mast went as far as to call it a "national security crisis and a public safety crisis."
New reports indicate that the U.S. is on track to report one million “got-aways” from the Southern Border. That’s one million people who clearly are not afraid to break the law. This is a national security crisis and a public safety crisis.
