Gov. Ron DeSantis is a big family man and his recent support and signing into law of the “Parental Rights in Education” is just one piece of his bigger “Family First” agenda for Florida.
Now Gov. DeSantis could bolster his “Family First” bona fides with another stroke of his pen by making divorces less complicated and less expensive for Floridians who unfortunately have to go through that marital process. READ MORE
Where is Charlie Crist?
Both Republicans and Democrats have been abusing the use of the proxy vote, but no one has done it more frequently than Reps. Frederica Wilson and Charlie Crist.
With COVID restrictions having been eased on the House side of Congress, most members of Congress have been showing up to cast their votes and have reopened their offices for in-person visits, but not Rep. Crist.
Crist still has a sign posted on his Washington, D.C. office door that states his staff is not in and working remotely as a result of COVID.
Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office, which is direct across the hall in the Cannon Building, is back at work.
Several lawmakers and staffers working in the same aisle as Crist say that they have not seen him or his staff in at least 6 months.
Meanwhile, Crist has been campaigning for governor in Florida, and according to the Los Angeles Times, has held (3) news conferences in the state instead of being in Washington voting.
Crist’s office did not respond to comments, but that’s because they aren’t around to do so. Where is Charlie?
