Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) accused former ICE Director Tom Homan as being “bigoted” and that his testimony during a hearing of The House Oversight Civil Rights and Civil Liberties subcommittee over why the Trump administration decided to stop immigrants from seeking deferment for the immigration cases, should “not be accepted as accurate testimony.”

As more and more migrants continue to pour over the U.S. southern border with Mexico, the U.S. Border Patrol and ICE continue to detain hundreds of illegal immigrants, including having to temporarily separate families.

Due to the immigration crisis along the U.S. border with Mexico, several 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, including former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, have been calling for the abolishment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
