U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos (R-FL) announced his endorsement of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia for a full term as CFO in a statement this week.
“Blaise Ingoglia is exactly the kind of conservative leader Florida needs as CFO - fearless, fiscally disciplined, and committed to rooting out waste in government," Haridopolos wrote.
Ingoglia thanked Rep. Haridopolos for his endorsement.
"Thank you for your trust and support @MikeHaridolpolos. Let’s keep Florida fearless!" Ingoglia wrote.
Rep. Haridopolos serves Florida's 8th congressional district, which includes all of Brevard County and Indian River County, and a portion of Orange County in the Space Coast region of the state.
Haridopolos was elected to District 8 in 2005. He previously served in the Florida Senate from 2003 to 2012, including as President from 2010 to 2012, and the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2003.
His endorsement follows a string of support for Ingoglia, including U.S. Reps. Aaron Bean, Brian Mast, and Kat Cammack earlier this month. Every previous Republican CFO in Florida also endorsed Ingoglia for the position.
In addition, Ingoglia has been endorsed by the Republican Party of Florida, more than 70 state lawmakers, 60 Florida sheriffs, American Grit PAC, Associated Industries of Florida, and the National Association of Police Organizations in his bid.
Ingoglia was appointed CFO by Gov. Ron DeSantis in July 2025. The state's fiscal watchdog, Ingoglia has uncovered over $2 billion in wasteful spending since assuming the role, including $278 million in Hillsborough County, $199 million in Orange County, and $189 million in Broward County.
Before becoming CFO, Ingoglia served in the Florida Senate from 2022 to 2025, the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022, and as chairman of the Florida Republican Party from 2015 to 2019.
Ingoglia is likely the clear favorite to win November's CFO election. Other candidates have been largely inactive in the race, and his chief competitor, Rep. Kevin Steele (R-Dade City), dropped out of the race earlier this year.
