Cristiano Ronaldo, the most popular and one of the most decorated football player in history, wants to meet President Donald Trump after praising the sitting president over his peace achievements around the world, adding that "he can make things happen."
During an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronald, who is on the verge of becoming the first player in world football history to score 1,000 goals, said that "one of the guys" he wanted to sit down with "to have a nice talk" was President Trump.
"Make that happen or tell him that one of the guys I wanna sit to have a nice talk was one of the guys," Ronaldo asked Morgan, who wants to work with Trump to help bring peace to the world.
Ronald said the he would meet with President in the U.S or "whatever he wants."
"I wish one day to meet him to sit with him because he's really good. He's one of the persons that I really like him because I think it can make things happen and I like people like that," added Ronaldo.
The football great even teased Morgan, saying that he and Trump had something in common, and that he would only tell the sitting U.S. President.
"I wish that world goes for the peace way, soon. this is what I'm looking for, and I will tell them something nobody knows this, but maybe one day if you have the opportunity,I'm going to sit with him and I'm going to tell him...That we had something in common and something that we share," he concluded.
Morgan was understandable shocked that Ronaldo would not divulge that little tidbit of information on his interview.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, so perhaps the two men will be able to meet up during next summers's month long contest.
