All eyes are on the contentious congressional race in Florida’s 22nd District between former teacher and corporate lobbyist Pia Dandiya and U.S. Marine Veteran and businessman Casey Askar.
A new public opinion poll conducted by the progressive A Fight Worth Having Super PAC shows that Dandiya and Askar are in a dead heat, with Askar’s popularity appearing to surge over the past couple of weeks.
Of the 550 likely voters surveyed, Dandiya holds and amebic .8% advantage over Askar. The poll’s margin of error is ±5.1-points.
This race is still considered a “Toss-up” by Cook Political Report, but up-to-date voter turnout data shows that the overwhelming majority of Republican voters have not voted yet, and both Republicans and Democrats are at parity with mail-in votes and early voting counts.

There are still 5.5% of voters polled who are undecided or did not answer.
In other words, Republicans could lose this race if they don't show up to vote.
Several recent polls show that Dandiya held a 3-6-point lead over Askar, but only before being made aware of her negatives.
Once voters are told of her negatives, like her investments in Data Centers and Communist China, and not supporting middle-class tax cuts, child tax credit, and Florida property tax cuts, Askar jumps to a 4-9 point lead.
As you can imagine, Askar and outside groups are pummeling Dandiya over her currently being registered to vote in Chicago, Illinois, her multimillion-dollar stock portfolio, her support for progressive causes and groups, and her support for socialist-minded education reform.
Dandiya and national Democrats have been consistent in their attacks against Askar, calling him a “corrupt” and “shady” businessman over a few lawsuits that he has had to deal with over a 30-year career.
