House Judiciary Democrats released a 53-page committee staff report revealing what they argue is “mounting evidence linking” President Donald Trump to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities.
Ranking Member Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), who released the report, also accused the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Attorney General Todd Blanche of deliberately covering up President Trump’s involvement in Epstein’s schemes.
"The Case Against Donald Trump" Report
“A growing body of evidence demonstrates that Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s,” the report states. “The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are doing everything they can to keep the American people in the dark about it.”
The report shares accounts and stories of 11 women, including two anonymous women who were between 13 and 14 years old at the time, who allege that President Trump abused, assaulted, and raped numerous women alongside, and in coordination with, Epstein.
The report also includes a section that discloses President Trump’s alleged lies, including flight logs, images, and e-mail screenshots contradicting the president’s statements.
Ranking Member Calls For Independent Counsel To Probe DOJ & Trump
“Five women have directly accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in Epstein’s company or presence; others have indicated that Epstein or Maxwell attempted to traffic them to Trump,” Rep. Raskin said. “These women have spoken to investigators and, in some cases, testified under oath, yet Trump’s Justice Department has shut down investigations, deliberately withheld evidence and, through Todd Blanche, prevented Ghislaine Maxwell from discussing a survivor whose account implicated Trump—all while insisting there is no basis upon which to investigate Epstein’s possible accomplices.”
“The women who survived Epstein deserve to be heard, Congress must have the complete files required by law, and an independent special counsel must investigate Epstein’s co-conspirators and DOJ’s cover-up and ensure that state and foreign prosecutors have the evidence they need to pursue justice,” Raskin said.
