Appearing on Fox News' show "Hannity" last night, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) stuck it to Biden over his widely considered failure in Afghanistan. However, the Florida governor defended himself and his record once again on COVID-19, accusing President Biden (D) of being obsessed with prioritizing government over parents.
Hannity sat down with DeSantis last night where they discussed why his COVID-19 policies of letting parents choose are getting so much flack.
"[Biden] is obsessed with having the government force Kindergartners to wear face masks all day in school. In Florida, we believe that that's the parent's decision," DeSantis said. "Joe Biden thinks the federal government should come in and overrule the parents and force these young kids to wear these masks."
The Florida governor then questioned where Biden's true priorities lie, and the "obsession" of attacking Florida on this issue specifically:
"You got to wonder, where are your priorities that you are so obsessed with this issue, and so obsessed with taking parents' rights."
Florida at the state level has not mandated mask usage, however multiple school districts such as Marion County Public Schools have challenged the governor's ruling after the start of the school year. Biden has since challenged DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) on their governing from Camp David.
This week, the Floridian reported on the AP story that caught a ton of traction in the media, accusing Ron DeSantis of endorsing Regeneron as a political favor. In the last few months, Florida has been faced with fake 60-Minute hit-pieces and "baseless" claims from the White House about COVID-19 according to Press Secretary Christina Pushaw.
