Over the weekend, President Donald Trump took to social media to issue expletive-filled threats against Iran’s infrastructure as he issued another deadline for the Islamic Republic to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped in one, in Iran,” President Trump warned in a post via Truth Social.

“Open the F***in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell,” President Trump vowed on Iran, followed up by the phrase, “Praise be to Allah” to conclude his message.

In a subsequent post, the president affirmed the deadline for Tehran to reopen the maritime checkpoint, simply writing, “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!”

President Trump has extended his deadlines for the reopening of the Strait twice before.

On Mar. 21, 2026, the president said Iran had a 48-hour deadline, or the U.S. would “hit and obliterate” its power plants.

He then proceeded to extend an initial five-day deadline to Apr. 6 before adjusting the timeframe again on Apr. 4, urging the Islamic Republic to make a deal or “all Hell will reign down upon them."

President Trump’s expletive threats come after the U.S. successfully performed a search-and-rescue mission for the crew of an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet that was shot down in Central Iran by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) air defenses.

One of the crew members was recovered behind enemy lines, within hours of the aircraft’s crash.

The second member’s rescue involved a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) deception strategy, technical malfunctions with transport planes, and two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters being struck by Iranian forces.

According to an intelligence official who spoke with The Associated Press (The AP), the U.S. military blew up its two transport planes, but the two Black Hawk helicopters successfully navigated to safe airspace.
