A recent poll conducted by Change Research shows Democratic challenger Annette Taddeo in a dead heat with Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia in the race for Florida CFO.

According to a Taddeo campaign release, the poll follows momentum for Taddeo following an endorsement from the Florida Veterans for Common Sense (FLVCS) in her bid. Taddeo, a former Florida State Senator, announced her candidacy in June.
“Floridians need a Chief Financial Officer who will stand up to corruption, stand for common sense, and have the independence to challenge the administration when its priorities come at the expense of Florida taxpayers,” FLVCS President Gene Jones said in a statement. “For example, the DeSantis administration’s recent decision to redirect nearly $200 million intended for electric vehicle charging infrastructure to build landing pads for flying cars is exactly the kind of spending that deserves scrutiny — especially when it stands to benefit the wealthiest 1% rather than everyday Floridians. Annette Taddeo will follow the money, demand accountability, and put Florida taxpayers first. That’s the kind of financial watchdog we need.”
A nonpartisan nonprofit, FLVCS has advocated for veterans and public policy since 2009. Its advocacy includes funding for the Veterans Health Administration for treatment to veterans and a strong military against foreign and domestic threats.
Taddeo thanked the FLVCS for its endorsement.
“I am especially honored to receive the support of Florida Veterans for Common Sense. My father was a veteran and U.S. fighter pilot who served in World War II and Korea, and he was my hero," Taddeo said. "He taught me from an early age about service, sacrifice, and the responsibility we all have to stand up for what we believe is right."
"Those are values I carry with me today. Florida’s Chief Financial Officer is supposed to be a watchdog for the people — protecting taxpayers, fighting corruption, demanding accountability, and looking out for Florida families struggling with the rising cost of insurance and everyday life," Taddeo continued. "I am grateful to have the support of veterans who served our country and continue to serve their communities today.”
CFO Ingoglia was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in July 2025. Florida hasn't had a Democratic CFO since Alex Sink, who served from 2007 to 2011.
The general election is Nov. 3.
