A new advertising campaign launched by conservative, non-profit organization “The Protecting America Initiative” (PAI), in Florida and Texas, targets “Chinese-made devices” and demands their removal from hospitals nationwide.

The six-figure ad campaign, titled “Do No Harm,” highlights how the increasing presence of Chinese-made medical devices threatens a doctor's oath to protect their patients.

The ad emphasizes how Chinese medical technology companies could be granting officials in Beijing access to sensitive patient information and health data. The closing line of the ad cements its message, “It’s time to get China out of our health care.”

Research shows how a growing number of Americans have fears regarding the potential threat that is the CCP obtaining sensitive patient data, and want action to protect their data privacy from the Chinese government.

A national survey done in September found that 75% of Americans are concerned about Chinese-made medical devices.

Another survey in Florida found that 80% of voters are worried that Chinese medical companies operating in the U.S. could, if commanded to, follow CCP directives that jeopardize patient data.

Finally, a poll conducted by the PAI in November also found that Texas voters overwhelmingly favor action to stop the CCP’s influence on U.S. medical technology and boost U.S. production to protect data privacy.

Americans rely on their doctors, who take an oath to keep us safe, but when Chinese companies make critical medical devices, that puts our safety at risk. Chinese medical devices open the door for the CCP to access sensitive health data. It’s time to remove Chinese medical devices from U.S. hospitals and close the data backdoor, because patient privacy and national security are non‑negotiable,” senior advisor to PAI, Chad Wolf, said in a press release.
