President Donald Trump has endorsed Representative Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) for reelection in 2026.

In a post to Truth Social, Trump described Rep. Bilirakis as "a Tremendous Champion for Florida's 12th Congressional District." "As a Senior Member of the POWERFUL House Energy and Commerce Committee, Gus is working tirelessly to Advance American Energy DOMINANCE, Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Champion our Nation's Golden Age," the President added.

Trump further lionized Rep. Bilirakis as "also fighting tirelessly to Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Support our Brave Military/Veterans, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment," telling supporters that Fine will "NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"

The Florida Congressman has made veterans' healthcare a major area of policy focus since Trump assumed office in January, introducing the Veterans' Assuring Critical Care Expansions to Support Servicemembers (ACCESS) Act at the end of January.

In June, Bilirakis pushed for his signature bill, the Major Richard Star Act, and later tried again in September.

Similarly, August saw the Florida Congressman introduce the Written Informed Consent Act, which requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to inform veterans through writing of the potential side effects of drugs such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, anxiolytics, and narcotics prescribed through their system.

Trump's endorsement of Bilirakis follows his endorsement of Representative Mike Haridopolos (R-FL) in late October, whom Trump similarly described as "an America First Patriot who is doing a fantastic job representing Florida's 8th Congressional District!"
