President Donald Trump has endorsed Representative Mike Haridopolos's (R-FL) 2026 reelection campaign.
In a post to Truth Social, Trump praised Rep. Haridopolos as "an America First Patriot who is doing a fantastic job representing Florida's 8th Congressional District!"
"A former Teacher, successful Businessman, and now, as U.S. Congressman, Mike has strongly served his Community with a career 'loaded up' with accolades and wins," Trump continued, adding, "In Congress, he is fighting tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment."
The post concludes by saying that Rep. Haridopolos will "NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
On X (formerly Twitter), the Florida congressman replied to Trump's post with gratitude, adding, "President Trump has NEVER stopped fighting for America."
"Proud to stand with our President as we put our country FIRST. The best is yet to come," Haridopolos concluded.
In January, Haridopolos spoke with The Floridian about the necessity of extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed by Trump, saying, "the best thing we can do for the economy right now is offer certainty and stability."
The Florida Congressman's first piece of legislation, the Greenlighting Growth Act, was introduced in May and cuts regulations and updates outdated finance reporting laws, addressing an issue arising from the 2012 JOBS Act.
"This targeted legislation removes a needless roadblock and sends a clear message that we're committed to smart reforms that reward innovation, fuel growth, and keep America the best place in the world to start and scale a business," said Haridopolos about his bill.
Notably, the Greenlighting Growth Act passed out of the House Committee on Financial Services in less than a week, with Committee Chair French Hill (R-AR) calling Haridopolos "my friend from Florida, a new member of this Committee and the Majority Whip for the Financial Services Committee."
