Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) shared a new digital ad criticizing Democratic candidate David Jolly for calling the modern Democratic Party "rational."
Released by Byron War Room on X, the 48-second spot begins with Jolly saying, "I find this a very rational democratic environment. This is a very rational Democratic Party right now."
California Gov. Newsom (D) is then spotlighted in the ad with a different take. The Democratic governor is considered a 2028 presidential candidate by some in political circles.
"I want to punch these sons of bitches in the mouth," Newsom says in the clip.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, whom Rep. Donalds is seeking to replace in Tallahassee, has frequently criticized Gov. Newsom over his policies as governor in California. The DeSantis administration also blasted Newsom for his state's sanctuary policies after an illegal alien truck driver with a California commercial driver's license killed three people in Florida last August.
Jolly, a former Republican, is looking to become the first Democratic governor of Florida since early 1999. The gubernatorial election is set for Nov. 3, 2026.
Picking up on the brash rhetoric, the ad then spotlights U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). Rep. Crockett has often been a political target for conservatives over controversial comments, including referring to Texas Gov. Greg Abbot as "Governor Hot Wheels."
"We are going to be in your face. We are going to be on your a**es," the Texas Democrats exclaims in the clip.
In February, Donalds was endorsed by President Trump for Florida governor. The nod likely gives the Congressman an edge in the gubernatorial race, given Trump's popularity in a state he won overwhelmingly in the presidential race last year.
Trump also beat former President Joe Biden in Florida in 2020.
Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, is also featured in the ad, saying, "People are really upset about illegal immigration, F*** you."
During his presidency, President Biden was widely condemned by Republicans, including Donald Trump, over his handling of the U.S. southern border.
Adding to criticism over illegal migration, U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is spotlighted expressing healthcare support for "everybody" in response to a reporter's question asking if Democrats are demanding healthcare for illegal aliens.
Two members of "The Squad," a progressive faction of the Democratic Party, also appear at the end of the video.
Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) is highlighted criticizing late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, calling his legacy filled with "bigotry, hatred, and white supremacy." U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) is also seen advocating for "unrest in the streets" before the ad shows riots over the Trump administration's handling of illegal migration.
