Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) announced in a post to X (formerly Twitter) that the Russian government has agreed to release the Soviet Union's files on Lee Harvey Oswald, discussing the assassination of President John F. Kennedy during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.

"After meeting with the Russian Ambassador a few weeks ago, I can confirm that the Russian government has agreed to release the KGB/Russian intelligence files on Lee Harvey Oswald," Rep. Luna posted, adding, "In the 90s, Congress attempted to obtain the same files and were denied. Some of these findings were reportedly given to U.S. officials by a Russian government representative attending JFK's 1963 funeral— but I believe they were destroyed by U.S. Intel."

As Rep. Luna explained more thoroughly within the clip, the apparent rationale for the destruction of the KGB's investigation into the Kennedy assassination and Oswald was because "at the time, JFK was actually in talks with the President of Russia at the time [Nikita Krushchev], and his perspective is that he actually wanted to do a joint mission between the U.S. government and the Russian government to the Moon."

"You obviously saw the Cold War was happening," the Florida Congresswoman continued, "They wanted war with Cuba, they wanted war with Russia. So for them to be able to say that Kennedy, who was not a communist, but that he was a communist sympathizer, and how dare he talk to these dirty communists. I mean, that in itself would have given them enough ammunition to turn a blind eye or at least not fully figure out who assassinated Kennedy."

Luna and host Joe Rogan discussed apparent witness intimidation and the omission of evidence within the Warren Commission, George Joannides' lying to Congress, and the mounting evidence of multiple shooters due to ballistics.

Finally, Luna returned to Rogan's question of why people never question the official narrative, saying, "I think it is because it is more comfortable for people, from a psychological perspective, to live in this comfort area that their government might not do something like that, right? Or might not try to cover up something like that because that is just an easy way of life."
