The Christian Family Coalition (CFC) Florida will host its 2025 Miami-Dade Legislative Breakfast at Trump National Doral on Saturday. The event will feature many GOP legislators who supported CFC legislation during the 2025 legislative session.

Lawmakers expected to attend include Sen. Ana Maria Rodriguez (R-Doral) and Reps. David Borrero (R-Sweetwater), Omar Blanco (R-Miami), Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami), Alex Rizo (R-Miami), and Tom Fabricio (R-Miami Lakes).

House Speaker Danny "Daniel" Perez (R-Miami) is not expected to chair the event due to a scheduling conflict, despite being listed.

Established in 2003, CFC describes itself as a human rights and social justice advocacy organization pushing to restore values of "faith, family and freedom through inspirational and engaging political advocacy."

Previously known as the Miami-Dade Christian Coalition, the organization bridges business, political, and faith-based communities to effectively address key issues affecting Florida families.

The breakfast, which includes sponsorship opportunities ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, will serve as a platform for CFC Florida to celebrate the GOP lawmakers, as well as highlight candidates that the coalition might support in the future.

With support from GOP lawmakers, the coalition backed several described "victories" during the year, including defeating Amendments 3 and 4, which would have legalized recreational marijuana and codified late-term access to abortion, respectively.

They also backed several described victories during the legislative session, including reforming the petition process for constitutional amendments, the Sound Money Act, and the Surrendered Infants Act.

Notably, Miami-Dade GOP lawmakers arguably helped shift the county from blue to red in voter registrations this year, possibly due to specific policies.

"CFC Florida helped secure these important wins by testifying at committee hearings, lobbying lawmakers one-on-one, mobilizing constituents through action alerts on behalf of our legislative priorities, and conducting numerous media interviews," it said.

Registration for the breakfast is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The event is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
