Republican Yoni Anijar, who's running for House District 100, recently announced that he has raised $221,530 toward his campaign account and committee, Friends of Yoni Anijar. Anijar is looking to replace Rep. Chip LaMarca (R-Lighthouse Point) in Tallahassee next fall.
“I’m very grateful for the strong financial support that I’ve received since jumping into the race to serve as District 100’s next State Representative,” Anijar said in a release. “We’ve had another successful quarter, and I know we will continue to exceed our goals and pick up even more support from the district in the weeks and months ahead. I can’t wait to use my experience and unique perspective to meet the needs of my constituents while working hard to support President Trump’s America-First agenda and keeping our state leading the nation.”
According to the release, Anijar currently has $219,364 in cash on hand, more than his two other challengers in the race. Eric Stelnicki has $152,937 in cash on hand from his campaign and political committee, while Chris Vincent has $36,470.
HD 100 covers part of Broward County. The seat will be open in 2026 by Rep. LaMarca due to term limits.
LaMarca has represented the area since 2018. He won reelection in HD 100 over Democrat James Brenner by 15 points in 2024.
“Rep. Chip LaMarca has solidified a winning strategy in keeping a Broward County seat red,” added Yoni. “In the Florida House, I want to honor that legacy of service and continue building on the work he’s done on behalf of the people of District 100.”
Outside of politics, Anijar is a U.S. Army Veteran and current attorney. He also serves as the Vice President of Broward Young Republicans and was actively involved in helping LaMarca secure his reelection bid.
A Jewish American, Anijar graduated from the University of Florida and earned his law degree from George Washington University Law School. He later began his legal career in New York City.
"Yoni is an experienced corporate attorney and will bring the legal expertise and policy insight needed to navigate complex legislative issues in the State House," the release said. "He is well-versed in rule-making, stakeholder negotiation, and policy implementation–skills necessary to draft clear and effective legislation."
