The popular airline tracking website Flightaware .com may have experienced a security breach on Friday. Upon logging in to check the flight status of a flight, The Floridian typed in the site's URL and text populated in Russian. Several minutes later, the site was still in Russian but then changed back to English.

The Russian navy is currently conducting military maneuvers off the coast of Cuba, prompting speculation that the Kremlin may have hacked into the FlightAware system.

Did the Russian military interfere with the Texas-based company?

We reached out to Flightaware.com for comment, but the individual we chatted with only told us to reached out to the site's support team

"If this happens again please try changing the language in the top right and if it does not work, please let us know at [email protected]," he stated. "As of now there's no further action I can take to look into this. I will also bring this up with our team to be aware of in case experienced in the future."
