DeSantis Steps Up Attacks Against Trump, Says Trump Will Lose General Election
During an exclusive CNN town hall event in New Hampshire, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told viewers that if Trump is the nominee, Republicans will lose the general election against President Joe Biden or whoever is the Democratic presidential nominee.
DeSantis was on his game, kept to his campaign message, and said all the right things to help move the needle in the New Hampshire presidential primary election next week.
But was DeSantis's town hall enough?
He is polling in single digits behind Trump and Nikki Haley and needs to post a strong showing in the Granite State.
DeSantis says he is in the race for the long haul, but money will dictate his path.
Haley continues to surge and has dismissed DeSantis by framing the primary election about only her and Trump.
DeSantis tried to use the same tactic months ago, but Haley's rise in popularity crushed that narrative.
Can DeSantis pull it off?
We predict that if DeSantis does not place a respectable 2nd place in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina, DeSantis will drop out before he puts himself in the position to lose his home state of Florida.
Ron DeSantis-I’ve had almost $50 million spent against me so far in this campaign — that’s more than has been spent against Joe Biden and Donald Trump combined.
They wouldn’t do that unless they saw me as a threat.
Rep. Michele K. Rayner-“We are putting Governor DeSantis on notice that the people are winning and they are exercising their voices.”

Rep. Mike Waltz-Last year, @RepMoskowitz & I led a bipartisan letter urging Biden to re-list the Houthis as a terrorist organization. They should have never been removed in the first place.
Congressman Jared Moskowitz-I led a bipartisan letter to the State Department with @michaelgwaltztwo months ago calling for the re-designation of the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization. This is an encouraging step forward as America works to cut off assistance to Iran-backed terrorists.
