Florida Braces for Another Hurricane

Governor DeSantis is preparing the State of Florida for a possible Category 3 Hurricane Idalia continues to intensify... READ MORE

Rick Scott-I was in Ft. Myers Beach this morning and the damage from #Ian still here is a reminder that these storms can be unpredictable. Now #Idalia is coming to Florida & growing stronger.

Make a plan. Get prepared. Stay safe.

Ron DeSantis-Evacuation orders have been issued for 21 counties. If you are under an evacuation order, take it seriously and get to a safer area. Travel tens of miles, not hundreds of miles, to safety.

Find evacuation orders here: https://floridadisaster.org/evacuation-orders/

FL Division of Emergency Management-When monitoring #Idalia, remember:

- The cone only represents the probable track of the CENTER of the storm, it does NOT show the size of the storm

- Impacts will extend far outside of the area that is shown

- You should have your plan in place & heed all warnings from officials

Debbie Wasserman Schultz-Broward Co. isn’t expecting a direct hit from #Idalia, but it’s a good reminder: make your hurricane plan and prep now.
