President Donald Trump (R) has released a new advertisement on Rumble. The advertisement comes as Hunter Biden pleads guilty to federal tax charges. In the advertisement, President Trump slams the charges against himself as “election interference.”
President Trump was arraigned last week in Miami, Florida, pleading not guilty to the charges he’s facing. He has denounced the charges as part of a “witch hunt” Democrats are conducting given his support in the 2024 presidential election.
The advertisement, titled “Election Interference,” shows footage of Trump in Miami with audio from newscasters both speaking about his charges and questioning why charges have not been directed at President Joe Biden (D).
Audio from Trump speaking at his rallies also plays over the footage wherein he affirms that “when you arrest your leading political opponent, we no longer have a democracy.”
He adds that Democrats “want to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedom,” expressing that Democrats are not coming after him. Instead, “they’re coming after you, and I just happen to be standing in their way, and I will never be moving.”
The advertisement comes as Hunter Biden pleads guilty to tax evasion and illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user. He will likely avoid jail time as part of a plea agreement made public this week.
This has drawn the ire of Republicans who have long pressed for an investigation into Hunter Biden and President Biden, arguing that the Biden family incurred money through shady business deals while Biden was Vice President.
Taking to social media, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) commented on the plea deal, writing that “shockingly, the world’s most prolific documentarian of his own crimes gets caught and charged.”
