After visiting parts of the country to promote Florida's support of law enforcement, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is doubling down. DeSantis has released a "Pro-Police" advertisement, assuring Florida as the "law and order" state.

This week, Governor DeSantis visited Staten Island and Chicago among other parts of the country as a recruitment effort, calling on law enforcement officers to relocate to Florida. Commenting that blue states have not support police, DeSantis assured that Florida is "leading the way" on "backing the blue."

In a newly-released advertisement, footage of DeSantis' campaign stops are edited with images of event attendees and protests as audio from news reports plays throughout.

"In Florida, our crime rate is at a 50-year low," Governor DeSantis says in the advertisement, speaking at a campaign stop. Coinciding with the release of the advertisement was a message to supporters from Team DeSantis, elaborating on the progress Florida has made while also distinguishing the state from blue states.

"Our battle-tested blueprint for governance has produced tangible results for Floridians that can be a model for communities around the country," the team said, adding "Florida could not have achieved these results without its commitment to law enforcement. A commitment that the Governor and the state of Florida kept even when it wasn’t popular…even when many other states were turning their backs on the people who protect them."

Questioning what makes Florida different from other states, Governor DeSantis' team warned that "you cannot have a strong economy if the streets aren’t safe" and that "you cannot have an effective education system if people don’t feel secure."

The Governor made 3 stops in his tour, stopping at Staten Island, New York, Chicago, Illinois, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to discuss the importance of public safety and how Florida is leading the way. "Liberal policies endanger citizens, coddle criminals, deny justice to victims, and make it harder for law enforcement officers to do their job" warned the team.
