Republican Lawmaker Gimenez Says 'Mexico Isn't Our Friend'

Share

Conservatives have continuously attacked President Joe Biden (D) for the flow of illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.  southern border since the beginning of his presidency. Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) even went as far as to call the border situation a “national security crisis and a public safety crisis.” Is Mexico to blame?

Now, another conservative is taking aim at Biden and his border policies, and he’s also not mincing words about the Mexican government as well.

Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez (R-FL) tweeted in congruence with his own Fox News opinion article concerning Mexico and the border.

“Mexico isn't our friend. They actively exploit Biden's weakness to undermine our interests as the first round of Cuban doctors arrive in Mexico this week. The profits from these doctors are used to fuel Cuba’s espionage regime against the United States," tweeted Rep. Gimenez.

Throughout the article, Gimenez argues that Mexico has nefarious intentions by their inaction towards illegal immigrants.

“If the true intent of these migrants is to seek refuge from brutal regimes and harsh living conditions in their home countries, then it would make sense for them to apply for asylum in Mexico rather than engage in the dangerous and treacherous journey to the United States. Instead, Mexico has taken advantage of President Biden’s lax policies to remove the onus from itself to combat the human traffickers and the narco-cartels and pass it onto the United States by allowing the free flow of un-vetted migrants to make the 1,500-mile journey through Mexico to our border," stated Rep. Gimenez.

More than a year ago, former President Donald Trump (R) called the border under the Biden-Harris administration “the worst in American history.”

“After months of ignoring the crisis at the Southern Border, it is great that we got Kamala Harris to finally go and see the tremendous destruction and death that they've created-a direct result of Biden ending my very tough but fair border policies," said President Trump

Republicans, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, have been saying  that every state is now a border state due to the influx of illegal immigration that has been cause by the "Biden Border Crisis."
