WASHINGTON—A day after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) was apparently sexually harassed on the steps of the U.S. Capitol by known agitator Alex Stein, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez rounded up reporters outside of the House floor to express her security concerns.

Ocasio-Cortez only called over “women and LGBTQ reporters” but drew a crowd of about 10 journalists of all sexual persuasions.

Ocasio-Cortez called Stein, who she says works for The Blaze,  “extraordinarily explicit and rude” and said that she did not feel safe working within the Capitol building, adding that she feared for reporters and anyone else that worked there.

“This is not a place designed to protect women. It’s not a place to protect LGBT people,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “And I fear for all of the journalists here. January 6th there were reporters that had to seek refuge in member’s offices.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on to say that the Capitol police questioned her and her staff for inquiring about who the agitator was, saying that her inquiries were simply about “mitigating a threat.”

“Certain people will be safe, but not all of us will be safe. Do not trust that things are OK,” added Ocasio-Cortez.=

In response to Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, who lawmakers will argue is the reason why Speaker Nancy Pelosi keeps the metal detectors at every entrance to the House floor, told The Floridian that she didn’t feel “completely safe.”

“I don’t feel completely safe when I am not armed,” said Rep. Boebert.

Here is what Stein stated about “AOC”:

“You’re my favorite big-booty Latina — I love you, AOC, you’re my favorite”

“She wants to kill babies but she’s still beautiful. You look very beautiful in that dress. You look very sexy. Look at that booty on AOC.”

“Look how sexy she looks in that dress,” Stein continued. “Whooo. I love it, AOC. Hot hot hot like a tamale.”
