AG Commissioner Nikki Fried along with some local “Quick Draw McCraw” municipal leaders and the Florida Democratic Party are urging the Florida Supreme Court to consider hearing a recently overturned ruling by an appellate court that keeps municipalities from banning the possession of certain “assault weapons.” This a gun grab.
The law that Gov. Ron DeSantis signed in 2019 penalizes cities leaders with stiff fines and removal if they try to prevent citizens from owning AR-15 style weapons or similar “assault weapons.” READ MORE
Surfside Agony
Now with the search for survivors in the tragic building collapse down in Surfside comes to a close and recovery operations are underway, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) is continuing to praise the bipartisan effort by local, state, and government leaders during the search and rescue, and now the recovery efforts.
It was almost surreal to see both Republican and Democratic leaders shoulder-to-shoulder working together in unison to address the disaster.
Just outside of the view of reporters and cameras, Gov. DeSantis and other leaders could be seen strategizing and comparing notes on what needed to be addressed before, during, and after the daily press briefings. READ MORE
