Setting Up DeSantis for a Fall

The 2021 Florida Legislative session is in the home stretch (it appears that way) and Republican legislators are still miles away from delivering to Gov. Ron DeSantis what he asked of them — a bill to tackle the “Big Tech” cancelation of Republican candidates for office.

Actually, bills have been introduced to take on Big Tech, but those measures are weak and DeSantis could be setting himself up for a big fail if he doesn’t address the wimpy bills that are going through committees. READ MORE

Polls. Polls. Polls.

A recent Victory-Insights poll taken over the weekend shows that the overwhelming majority of Republicans living in Florida’s 1st congressional district support Rep. Matt Gaetz and don’t believe the allegations of sexual assault on a minor and sex trafficking.

Rick Scott @SenRickScott-Great news from @TeamEglin. Florida is home to America’s finest military installations and I am proud of the great work being done by our men and women in uniform across the Sunshine State.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz @DWStweets-In under two months, 146K+ Floridians secured health insurance in the #ACA marketplace.

Nikki Fried-@nikkifried-Use this tweet as an excuse to tag someone who has helped you through this pandemic, in person or long distance. Everybody knows a helper.

Chris Sprowls@ChrisSprowls-The reporting on NICA raises serious & disturbing questions. The House will begin an investigation into whether NICA has lost sight of its statutory mission while still pushing accountability bills including HB 1083 by @JasonShoafFL & HB 195 @Jenna_persons

Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez @RepCarlos-I am committed to building a country that works for anyone willing to follow the rules and work toward a better life. America has much to learn from Florida’s success as a state where our differences are valued for their ability to make us stronger.

U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy @RepStephMurphy-Due to a spike in manatee deaths this year, I fought to secure federal funding that will help save the remaining animals while we research solutions to get to the root of this problem.
