Lawmakers from across the political spectrum have commemorated the 80th International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The International Holocaust Remembrance Day is held annually on January 27th, commemorating the 1945 liberation day of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The commemorative day is meant to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims […]
The US House of Representatives has unanimously passed Representative Maria Elvira Salazar’s (R-FL) Forgotten Heroes of the Holocaust Congressional Gold Medal Act. The Act will honor sixty diplomats who saved the lives of Jews fleeing the Nazi regime. Additionally, the bill recalls the importance of such diplomats for ensuring the safety of Jewish individuals and […]
US Senator Rick Scott (R-Fl) has announced he will be donating a portion of his Senate salary to the Holocaust Museum & Cohen Education Center in Naples, Florida. The museum, established in 2001, evolved from a middle school classroom exhibit called “Out of the Ashes” that sought to educate pupils on the horrors of the […]
As his 2024 presidential campaign is in the middle of an unprecedented reboot because of money woes and dipping poll numbers, Governor Ron DeSantis’s Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw appears to have gone off script again. This past Saturday night, Pushaw found it funny to take a swipe at former President Donald Trump at the […]
The month of February is Black History Month, and lawmakers across the country like Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz are out pointing out the accomplishments and contributions African-Americans such as Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, have made to American History. During her townhall-style “A Conversation for Black History Month” gathering in Miramar, Florida, Rep. Wasserman Schultz, […]
Rep.-elect Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) is firing shots at Rep.-elect George Santos (R-NY), a soon-to-be sworn-in and embattled Congressman out of Long Island, NY. Just a few days ago, Santos was caught embellishing his résumé and lying about his family heritage, including stating that his ancestors fled the Holocaust. There is no evidence backing up that […]
With just days before all newly-elected House of Representatives and Senators are sworn in on January 3rd, a bombshell revelation has come out of the New York State, as reports discover that Long Island Rep.-elect George Santos (R-NY) lied about the family on his mother’s side fleeing the Holocaust as well as lying about his […]
In a recent Op-Ed with the Washington Times, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) has a standard for the United States to renew and to continue to uphold: the idea of “never again.” America has dedicated itself to teaching young students about the horrors of the Second World War and all that it produced, especially the Holocaust. […]
Florida Sen. Rick Scott (R) and Sen. Mike Braun (R) have introduced a bill to prohibit Amnesty International from receiving any funds from the United States Government after allegations of antisemitism. This initiative to defund the international Non-governmental organization (NGO) comes after the organization released a scathing report against Israel calling it an apartheid state […]
Tallahassee, FL - Today on the Senate floor, the "Stop Woke Act," made its final stop in the Florida Senate where colorful debate sparked. However, nobody bashed the legislation as deeply as State Senator Annette Taddeo (D-40), where she said this bill is, "not what our state needs," and compared the bill to the Holocaust. The […]
The international community mourned the 6 million Jewish lives lost in the Holocaust last Thursday to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The commemoration serves as a day to “never forget” the consequences of tyranny and unchecked hate. Leaders across the globe made statements in solitarily with the Jewish community and pledged to keep those victims’ […]
Governor Ron Desantis formally recognized International Holocaust Remembrance Day by ordering all flags to be flown at half-staff Thursday to honor the more than 6 million Jews and 5 million other prisoners murdered in the Nazi genocide. The governor encouraged Floridians to “reflect on the tragedy of the Holocaust” and to “confront antisemitism where it rears its […]
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R), the outspoken and controversial freshman legislator from Georgia, inexplicably made another Holocaust comparison, which prompted Jewish-American Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) to reiterate her belief that Rep. Green is “unfit for Congress" after referring to door-to-door vaccinators as "medical brown shirts."
For much of President Trump’s presidency, he has been engaged in conflict with the mainstream media, often calling them fake news and criticizing them for alleged biased reporting. The fight now continues between CNN and President Trump, but this time the comments aimed at the news network are not coming from the President.
A Florida principal who told a parent he “can’t say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event” will be rehired after a vote Wednesday night by the school board that fired him.
A second Holocaust is coming and it looks like there is nothing that Americans can do about it because “ Democrats are hell-bent on terrorizing the Jewish community,” right? In response to a story The Floridian posted about a Palestinian-based newspaper praising Rep. Ted Deutch and other members of the House Democratic Caucus for penning […]
There is much to talk about when it comes to Florida politics, but this morning my mind is a blank because of the absolute stupidity of Broward County's Clerk of Courts. This is mind-boggling and deserves our full attention and mention here on the JUICE.
Broward Clerk of Court’s Brenda Forman is running for re-election to her post against two Jewish American candidates, so it’s a little curious to see her post a quote from non-other than Adolf Hitler, the person responsible for exterminating 6 million Jews during WWII.
