Gov. Ron DeSantis provided an update to the state's power restoration recovery effort following Hurricane Isaias while speaking at a press conference outside of a Walmart Supercenter in Pensacola.

As of 12 pm central time over 70 percent of power accounts have been restored.

About 133,000 are still without power, including 101,000 FPL.

Gov. DeSantis indicated about 10K were restored since the latest numbers were submitted.

Bay County: 100% restored

Okaloosa County: 96% restored

Washington County: 91% restored

Walton County: 80% restored. Gov. DeSantis said he expects Walton customers to have full power by tonight or early tomorrow.

Holmes County: 66% restored. The governor said he expects Holmes' remaining customers to have power tonight or early tomorrow.

Escambia County: Escambia River Electric Cooperative customers are expected to have power tonight.

Pensacola: Customers east and south of I-10 are expected to have power tonight. FPL also expects to restore power to 70% of the remaining customers, including schools and infrastructure by tonight.

Santa Rose County: Power restored south of I-10 and on the barrier islands by tonight. 70% of customers in hardest hit areas are also expected to have power tonight, including schools and infrastructure - while remaining customers should have power tomorrow.

Isaias made landfall near Destin as a Category 2 hurricane Friday night.

DeSantis also announced nine pods (points of disruption) have been opened for recovery efforts in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington counties to provide free supplies to Floridians impacted by the hurricane.

"They have bottled water, shelf-stable food, and other essential supplies to residents impacted by the storm," DeSantis said.

The governor also thanked Walmart for their support.

The Walmart Foundation has committed $1 million in funding and supplies to support hurricane recovery efforts in the western Panhandle, including for hot meals, mobile showers, laundry service, free Wi-Fi, and mobile device charging stations.

"Walmart has a big footprint in Florida. They employ 120,000 associates across our state, and many of their associates in Northwest Florida have been affected by the storm," DeSantis said. "So, I really appreciate their efforts to do this, it means a lot."
