The Conservatives for Ethical Leadership released an ad attacking Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) for having the best interest of Wall Street billionaires instead of Main Street Floridians in his bid for governor.

The 60-second ad, titled "Puppet," was shared on social media.

"Byron Donalds has a lot of rich friends. None of them give a damn about Florida or you," the ad says. "Big insurance gave Byron over $2 million. Your rates keep going up. Funny how that works."

D.C. and Tallahassee are often depicted to emphasize that point.

The ad associates Rep. Donalds to data center donors. Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly has called Donalds "Data Center Donalds" for reportedly accepting millions of dollars in campaign contributions from artificial intelligence (AI groups) in support of the facilities.

Big Tech executives Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are also pictured.

"The data center guys want our land, our water, and our electricity. Then they want you to hand them a tax break for taking it," the ad claims. "The Silicon Valley AI weirdos want those data centers to build AI to take your job, and the New York bankers and private equity pros-they love Byron too."

Jolly has called for a one-year moratorium on hyperscale data centers, pointing to concerns on water, power, and natural resources - as well as neighborhood quality and property values.

"No, they are. They're all buying the same thing: a puppet in Tallahassee, a governor who does what he's told, who dances to their tune, who owes them big time," the ad says.

It also asserts voters are rejecting the Republican. Notably, Florida has had a GOP governor since 1999, a streak longer than the Miami Dolphins last playoff win.

"That's why Republicans, Independents, and everybody in between are saying no to Byron Donalds because he's been bought and paid for," the ad concludes.
