Anna Paulina Luna Believes Republicans Can Maintain Control of Congress in November

“Right now, it just seems like it’s a mud-slinging contest on the Democrats' side to try to misrepresent or to try to make it appear that what’s happening right now is 100% the fault of Republicans."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) remains confident that Republicans will maintain control of the House after the upcoming 2026 Midterm elections, despite Democrats’ efforts to take over.

In an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Rep. Luna told publisher Javier Manjarres that despite Democrats’ attempts to succeed in the election, the Republican platform remains strong and supported by the American people.

Luna Says Good Messaging Will Help Republicans

Congresswoman Luna affirmed that if Republicans cut through the noise and employ good messaging, then they can push past Democrats’ efforts to smear the Republican platform.

The Pinellas County representative cited her policy platform against insider trading as an example.

“Right now, it just seems like it’s a mud-slinging contest on the Democrats' side to try to misrepresent or to try to make it appear that what’s happening right now is 100% the fault of Republicans,” Rep. Luna said.

Rep. Luna Calls Out Democrats For Solely Blaming Republicans

Congresswoman Luna countered the Democrats’ smear effort, calling out their support for the Russia-Ukraine war despite its adverse economic effects.

Rep. Luna: “You have Democrats that are advocating for the continuation of the war and to support Ukraine, yet the result of diesel prices is because of that war.

“And so, why would you not be advocating for a peace deal that could potentially, – well, now I think the damage has been done with the refineries, specifically with Russia – but that 100% could’ve been avoidable if the war had ended sooner.

“You wouldn’t have a crazy cost in diesel prices right now, and that’s why the president directly told [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy to stop hitting the refineries because you’re raising the cost of diesel across the world."

Congresswoman Luna used the example to show how Democrats' inverted positions and policy implications have affected the American people, despite their attempts to place full responsibility on Republicans.

“We feel pretty comfortable on our platform,” Rep. Luna affirmed.
