Gun Owners of America Florida State Director Luis Valdes announced his endorsement of Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia for a full term as CFO through a press statement this week.
“Blaise Ingoglia has repeatedly demonstrated that he is willing to stand with Florida’s gun owners when it matters most," Gun Owners of America (GOA) Florida State Director Luis Valdes said. "He voted against the Parkland gun control bill, fought for true Constitutional Carry and Open Carry, and sponsored legislation to repeal Florida’s emergency gun sale ban after GOA exposed abuses by local government in Okeechobee. His record proves he is committed to defending and expanding the Second Amendment, and GOA and Fuerza 2A are proud to endorse him for Florida Chief Financial Officer.”
Valdes also co-chairs the organization's Hispanic coalition Fuerza2A.
The GOA is a non-profit lobbying organization looking to protect and preserve the rights of gun owners under the Second Amendment.
CFO Ingoglia thanked Valdes for his endorsement.
"I will ALWAYS stand with our 2nd Amendment," Ingoglia wrote.
The GOA's endorsement follows several others for CFO Ingoglia, including Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL). Ingoglia has also been endorsed by U.S. Reps. Mike Haridopolos, Aaron Bean, Brian Mast, and Kat Cammack.
In addition, Ingoglia has been endorsed by the Republican Party of Florida, more than 70 state lawmakers, 60 Florida sheriffs, ever previous Republican CFO in Florida's history, American Grit PAC, Associated Industries of Florida, and the National Association of Police Organizations in his campaign.
Ingoglia was appointed CFO by Gov. Ron DeSantis in July 2025.
The state's fiscal watchdog, Ingoglia has uncovered over $2 billion in wasteful spending since assuming the role, including over $440 million in Palm Beach County just last month. In addition, Ingoglia has turned over excessive spending in Hillsborough, Orange, and Broward counties during his tenure.
Ingoglia is likely the clear favorite to win the Republican primary on Aug. 18.
Florida Senator Annette Taddeo is challenging Ingoglia on the Democratic ticket.
