MIAMI— It was an epic collapse for the Inter Miami CF Herons (5-0-6) at the hands of their struggling intrastate rivals, Orlando City SC Lions (3-7-1), as the defending MLS champions continue their winless streak at the newly-minted Nu Stadium.
It was the tale of two halves for Inter Miami CF, who looked to notch their first victory at home against Orlando City, but the team collectively collapsed and lost 4-3.
Miami dominated the first half and led 3-0 with goals from Ian Fray, Telasco Segovia, and Argentine great Lionel Messi, who also assisted in the aforementioned goals.
After the first half, it appeared as if co-owner David Beckham would be celebrating his 51st birthday with a win, but the team dropped his cake on the field, allowing Orlando striker Martin Ojeda to score a hat trick, and giving up the winning goal in in stoppage time to Tyrese Spicer.

Orlando came out swinging, and dominated Miami in the second half. Messi had several break aware opportunities to score by was denied by the Orlando City defense.
At the 78th minute, Messi received a Yellow card in the area and Orlando City was awarded a penalty kick, of which Ojeda converted.
Three minutes into a 8 minute stoppage time, Orlando sent Beckham their own birthday wishes by scoring the 4th and game-winning goal.
During the post game press conference, Coach Guillermo Hoyos, said the quiet part of the night out loud.
“The first half was a pleasure to watch,right," Coach Hoyos asked.
Inter Miami is now tied for second place with New England in the Easter Conference with 19 points. Nashville leads in the standings with 23 points.
