Lt. Governor Jay Collins has raised roughly $2.2 million in his first official fundraising reporting cycle of the 2026 midterm elections, which appears to have him in line with what then-gubernatorial candidate, Rep. Ron DeSantis, raised when he first ran for governor in 2018.
While his fundraising number is significantly less than that of Rep. Byron Donalds, who raised $22 million this quarter, Lt. Gov. Collins' cash total more than doubled the campaign donation total of former House Speaker Paul Renner, who posted $706,307.61.
Collins' Quiet Professionals political committee raised $1,604,024.99 while his official gubernatorial campaign posted $388,489.26.
Florida's primary election will be held on August 18.

And Javier has been a paid consultant of Collins. Javier knows that Mike Repole gave Collins 1 million this quarter. So subtract that and there is the real scenario.
Jay Collins is from Montana and has no path to win. His resume is not comparable to DeSantis’ or Renners.
