Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) took to social media to commend the death of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Intelligence Chief, Majid Khademi, following a precision strike by Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“Good riddance. The IRGC has been killing and terrorizing our people for DECADES,” Sen. Scott expressed. “President Trump’s leadership is making America SAFER and STRONGER every day.”

According to both Fox News and The Times of Israel, Israel announced the killing of both Gen. Khademi and Quds Force’s special operations commander, Asghar Bagheri. The Quds Force is one of the five branches of the IRGC, which trains and equips Iranian military proxies across the Middle East.

“Iran’s leaders live with a sense of persecution. We will continue to hunt them down one by one,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated.

Fox News reported that, in a statement confirming Gen. Khademi’s death, the IDF accused the general of helping advance terrorist attacks abroad and supervising surveillance of Iranian civilians as part of the Islamic Republic’s crackdown on domestic protests.

"Khademi wasn’t just any figure, he was effectively No. 2 within the IRGC, one of the few senior commanders who managed to survive multiple waves of Israeli and American targeting over the past year — until now," a senior Israeli official told Fox News. "He kept moving, relocating, but ultimately he was hunted down and eliminated.

The official also noted that Khademi was “deeply involved” in efforts to infiltrate U.S. systems, which included attempts to breach the U.S. Department of Defense, an effort that the official alleged was coordinated with Russia.

"Bagheri was directly involved in recruiting agents across the Middle East and orchestrating attacks against American targets in Iraq and Syria — including operations that led to U.S. casualties," the senior official also told Fox News, addressing the Special Operations commander’s death.
