The Florida Police Chiefs Association (FPCA) announced its endorsement of Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) for a full term in the U.S. Senate by praising her "unshakable commitment" to law enforcement through a press release this week.

"Every chief in this association goes home at night thinking about one thing: making sure their officers get home too. Resourced properly. Supported mentally and physically. Treated with the dignity this job demands," FPCA President David Currey said. "Ashley Moody thinks about that too, not just as a senator, but as a law enforcement spouse. She gets it in a way that very few people in public life truly do.”

The FPCA also endorsed Sen. Moody during her time as Florida Attorney General and when she was appointed to the U.S. Senate in January 2025 by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

"Few candidates understand the law enforcement community the way Ashley Moody does," the FPCA said. "She knows what it means to watch someone you love put on a badge and walk out the door, and to pray they come home safely. She does not need a briefing to understand the weight of this profession. She lives it every day, alongside the thousands of law enforcement families across this state who do the same."

Sen. Moody thanked the FPCA for its endorsement.

"I am honored to have earned the support of the Florida Police Chiefs Association," Moody said. "Standing with the men and women who put on the badge every day to keep our communities safe isn't new for me - I stood up for them as Florida's Attorney General, and I'm continuing that effort for now as your U.S. Senator."

The FPCA is the nation's "pre-eminent law enforcement professional association," representing over 1,300 law enforcement executives and members, including municipal, airport, college and university, and tribal police departments. The organization also serves private business and security firms, as well as federal, state, and county agencies across the state.
