The Byron Donalds Campaign and Friends of Byron Donalds PAC announced it raised $13.8 million in April and May to bring Congressman and Florida candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) total war chest to $81.1 million in his campaign bid.
"These fundraising numbers emphatically illustrate the surging enthusiasm for Byron Donald's campaign," Byron Donalds' Communications Director Gates McGavick said. "From Pompano to Pensacola and everywhere in between, Florida Republicans are sending a clear message: Byron Donalds is the Trump-endorsed conservative who has what it takes to make life more affordable and keep the Florida dream alive."
According to the Donalds campaign, the $13.8 million haul came from 8,812 individual donors. This includes $11.7 million from Friends of Byron Donalds PAC and $2.13 million from Byron Donalds for governor.
Rep. Donalds $81.1 million war chest includes $71.8 million from Friends of Byron Donalds PAC and $9.2 million from Byron Donalds for governor from a total of 35,292 individual donors.
The strong momentum comes after the Byron Donalds Campaign and Friends of Byron Donalds PAC announced a record $22.2 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026 for Rep. Donalds in his campaign earlier this year.
Rep. Donalds announced his gubernatorial bid in February 2025. His endorsements include President Donald Trump, who backed Donalds in a Truth Social post before his official announcement.
Sen. Rick Scott, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), and several Florida congressional representatives, including Jimmy Patronis just this week, are also backing Rep. Donalds in his bid. Moreover, Donalds has been endorsed by several members of the Florida House and Senate, a majority Florida sheriffs, and numerous associations, including the Associated Industries of Florida, The Club for Growth, and the Florida Restraunt and Lodging Association.
Donalds is in a Republican primary with Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, former Florida House Speaker Paul Renner, and businessman James Fishback.
Florida's primary election will take place on Aug 18.
