Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka (R-Fort Myers) as Lee County Supervisor of Elections this week.
Persons-Mulicka takes over for Supervisor Tommy Doyle, who announced his retirement after serving nine years in the position.
Rep. Persons-Mulicka is a founding partner and attorney at Strayhorn Persons-Mulicka in Fort Myers. The law firm has served southwest Florida since 1915.
She has served House District 78 since 2020. The District is entirely within Lee County in southwest Florida.
Rep. Persons-Mulicka sponsored several bills in the House, including on election integrity and foreign interference during the 2026 legislative session. Both bills were signed by Gov. DeSantis into law.

Persons-Mulicka won HD 78 with nearly 60% of the vote over Democratic candidate Howard Sapp in 2024. She also won by a similar margin over Sapp in 2022, and defeated Democratic candidate Shawn Williams in 2020.
In addition to her Legislative service and practice, Rep. Persons-Mulicka presides on the Florida Commission on the Status of Women and Co-Chairs the Lee County Bar Association’s History Committee.
Her accolades include receiving the Fort Myers Housing Authority Community Impact Award and the 2022 Autism Acceptance Awards Champion of the Year.
Rep. Persons-Mulicka graduated with bachelor's degrees in journalism and government from Evangel University in Missouri and a juris doctor from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
