BUDAPEST— The highly anticipated 2026 CPAC Hungary took place and the sponsors of the event, The Center for Fundamental Rights, spared no expense to promote the election-driven annual meeting of Conservative european minds.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary, who is running in a very close reelection race, was one of the main attractions of the event.
The show appeared geared to promote PM Orbán's relection efforts, with speaker after speaker praising his candidacy, included President Donald Trump, who for the third year in a row, sent a pretaped video of support.
"We are fighting for the soul of the Western world," said PM Orbán.
Orbán, who did not speak to media prior or after his speaking engagement, is considered a beacon of sorts for European conservatives, considering how left-leaning other European Union nations become over the past 20 to 30 years.
American CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp helped kick off the event, and spoke to The Floridian the day prior to the event, and slammed the extremist and "insulting" narrative in the U.S. that Israel somehow convinced or tricked President Trump into attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, also praised Orbán's leadership, and pointed to the growing immigration problem that European nations face from Muslim countries.
"Prime Minister orban shows a strong leadership in a time in Europe when unfortunately Western Europe is unfortunate to have weak leadership that's caused their countries to decline, they opened the floodgates of immigration from Muslim countries that brought populations in their countries that don't share the same culture and civilization this brings a lot of public unrest," said Netanyahu during an onstage interview.

Netanyahu outlined the plight of the Jewish state and clarified the consequences of not combatting radical Islamic terrorism in Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism.
Many more conservative minds took to the stage to promote Orbán and the future prospects of conservatives, From Germany's Alice Weidel, Conservative influencer Dave Rubio, U.S. Reps. Russ Fulcher and Andy Harris, to Argentine PM Javier Milei, CPAC Hungary delivered for Orbán.
Hungary's election will be held on April 12.
