It appears as if political Christmas has come early for thousands of Republicans who absolutely think former state Rep. Anthony Sabatini, aka “Little Tony,” is a tool, as the Lake County Republican Executive Committee voted 70-56 against the little guy’s application for membership.
“Tonight’s vote was about the future of our party,” said Chairman and Rep. Taylor Yarkosky in a statement. “Our members have worked hard to build a stronger, more united organization. We remain focused on electing Republicans, supporting conservative leadership, and delivering results for the voters of Lake County.”
Little Tony did not take the final vote well.
Little Tony was dubbed "Florida's Biggest Loser" after receiving some heat for being a registered Democrat during the 2008 and 2012 elections. While he didn't say if he voted for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, he did say that he wrote in "JFK," according to a previous report.
Yes, Lil Tony was a former Democrat.
Since enduring a crushing 18 percentage point defeat at the hands of Rep. Cory Mills in the 2022 midterm elections, Lil' Tony has seen his political campaign take a downward spiral. Yes, he won a seat on the Lake County Commission, but was defeated by Rep. Daniel Webster (R) in the 2024 Republican congressional race in Florida's 11th District.
President Donald Trump endorsed Rep. Webster over the little guy, forcing Lil' Tony to quit the race.
When The Floridian first reported that Sabatini didn't get the memo that President Trump was backing Rep. Webster, he decided to file a bogus civil complaint against us and one of our reporters.
We say bogus because the complaint was baseless. The little guy never even bothered to try to serve The Floridian, and then voluntarily retracted the complaint. Total bullshit.
Since President Trump won reelection, Sabatini stooped to attacking Trump, questioning the rate of illegal alien deportations, among other things.
What's worse, but not surprising, Little Tony Sabatini, who finds himself enduring significant sunlight exposure on top of his head, appears to be backing James Fishback and Tucker Carlson's world views.
In addition, Tony appears to support Fishback's racism. Here, Sabatini showed his support for Fishback, referring to Rep. Byron Donalds as "By'rone."
