TALLAHASSEE—Republican gubernatorial candidate, Rep. Byron Donalds, dropped by the Florida Capitol to meet with Republican leadership and members of the Tallahassee press corp.
When asked about how he would deal or manage the attacks his primary rivals have been launching at him, a confident Rep. Donalds levied a epic political smackdown.
“My rivals would all like to be in my position. And they are not,” Donalds stated.
This week, former Speaker Paul Renner launched an aggressive social media campaign against Donalds, referring to him as being a “soft-on-crime” legislature and gubernatorial candidate, among other things.
Donalds is most-likely referring to the $45 million he has raised and the tidal wave of campaign endorsements from county sheriffs, members of Congress, and President Donald Trump.
Donalds recently announced that he had the support of 35 county sheriffs across the state of Florida.
