It appears as if the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Google is currently using in its searches has failed to recognize that the 2026 State of the Union address will be delivered by President Donald Trump, and not former President Joe Biden.
Yes, Google has a little bit of a problem with its "2026 State of the Union" search result.
Earlier today, I was planning my travel schedule for 2026 and decided to Google search "2026 State of the Union Address" to find out when the annual presidential address to a joint session of Congress would take place.
Look, I understand computer glitches, and to some degree, I understand some glitches that occur on algorithmic issues on the "Internets."
So, this is what I got from Google AI after I typed in my request on Google Search.
"The 2026 State of the Union address hasn't happened yet (it's scheduled for early 2026, likely Jan/Feb), but it's expected to be a significant address by President Joe Biden (or the President in office then), focusing on national progress, upcoming policy, and likely the upcoming America 250 celebrations..."
Again, I get it. AI isn't perfect, but it makes you really wonder if Google and other social media platforms are really biased in favor of Democrats over Republicans.
Was this part of the alleged social media, online bias towards President Donald Trump?
At the very least, the algorithm, presumably from around 2024, had some kind of brain fart and assumed that President Joe Biden would be president in 2026.
Wait, didn't then-Vice President Kamala Harris announce her presidential nomination back in July 2024?
Yessir!
President Biden wasn't even on the ballot in 2024; VP Harris was.
Hey Google, WTF is up with your algorithm?
What's worse is that Google's presumption that President Biden was going to defeat now-President Donald Trump to win the 2024 presidential election, even though he was not even running for re-election.
Speaking of 2026, President Trump is expected to play a huge role in the midterm elections, not President Biden.
