Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) discussed the impact of the "Big Beautiful Bill," recently signed into law by President Donald Trump, during a recent appearance on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, saying it will affect midterm results.

The host noted that Democrats will use the bill as a base for their political strategy going into the midterms, to which Rep. Steube said, "They are going to try."

"But what is going to be interesting is, by January of next year, the impacts of this bill: no tax on tips, no tax on manufacturing, all the different permanency of the tax rates that we did in this bill, the American people are going to be seeing that early next year," Rep. Steube began, further noting that "Democrats keep wanting to say that this is a tax cut for billionaires. Billionaires are not making tips as they are waiting on tables at restaurants. Billionaires are not on Social Security. And so these impacts for the American people, the working class of the American people, they are going to see this, and it is going to be a huge economic impact; not just for the country, but for the Republican base because of the policies that the President passed."

The host further pointed out that Democrats will attempt to argue that hospitals will close, millions will lose health insurance, and that cuts to other programs are somehow a bad thing.

Rep. Steube replied that he supports "massive cuts to a whole entirety of government programs that we have," but "unfortunately, we have moderates in our party that obviously cannot support the type of cuts that somebody like me would support."

Moreover, the Florida Congressman pointed out that Medicaid's tightening of work requirements to 80 hours a month "is not something that the American people think is unreasonable."

"And so as the American people see what is really happening with this bill, the cost savings that we do get from putting work requirements in Medicaid, getting the fraud, waste, and abuse out of the system," Steube concluded, "they are going to see all of this parade of horribles the Democrats constantly say are going to happen? It's not happening, and we're saving money. This bill saves $1.7 trillion. They are going to see we are on a path to a balanced budget. We are doing the type of things we need to do to get our country back on the economic footing that we need."
