U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, (D-FL) praised President Donald Trump and Israel’s military actions targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, calling them a necessary step to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon during an on Fox News.
Rep. Moskowitz begins discussing the goals previous administrations had for dismantling a nuclear armed Iran and the threat that could pose to the U.S. and its allies.
“The goal has been for the last several decades, Democratic presidents and Republican presidents, and the goal of this administration, which is that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon," said Moskowitz before addressing how far Israel might go to dismantle Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
“They're not done. This is going to go on for several days. If you look at what they did just in the initial strikes, if they have further plans for that on other facilities, then obviously, they'll continue to degrade Iran's capability," he added.
Moskowitz closes his statement by praising President Donald Trump and his handling of the current situation.
“I think the President got it right. Obviously, if we were given the heads up that this was going to happen, we could have delayed it.” Moskowitz said.
“We have that relationship with the Israelis. This President decided to let it go forward. I think the president made the right decision. I also think it was the right decision to try to avoid this. He gave the Iranian 60 days, five rounds.”
This statement comes in response to President Donald Trump’s warning to Iran where he threatens Iran that Israel would repeat its recent attacks at a larger scale if Iran continues refusing to negotiate an end to its nuclear development programs.
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to "just do it," but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn't get it done.” Trump said.
“JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.”
