Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she is filing legislation to designate Antifascist Action, better known as Antifa, as a terrorist organization.
Journalist Andy Ngo, who writes for The Post Millennial and has exposed the nature of Antifa in his past coverage, posted a picture made by Antifa International calling for an attack on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in San Francisco, California, as part of the ongoing riots in Los Angeles.
"Antifa International has announced a June 8 direct action to attack the @ICEgov facility in San Francisco," Ngo posted, adding, "The planned riot is organized in support of the insurrection in Los Angeles."
Rep. Luna retweeted Ngo's post with her announcement, saying, "I am filing legislation to designate ANTIFA a terrorist organization. Peaceful protest is one thing. Masked violence and coordinated terror campaigns are un-American."
The unrest in Los Angeles throughout the weekend, in response to ICE raids arresting and deporting illegal aliens, has seen instances of arson and violence, with President Donald Trump deploying the National Guard to protect federal facilities from the rioters.
As Fox News reported, Democrats continue to say the protests are "peaceful" and call Trump's response unjustified.
"Let's get this straight: 1) Local law enforcement didn't need help. 2) Trump sent troops anyway — to manufacture chaos and violence. 3) Trump succeeded. 4) Now things are destabilized," said Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA), "and we need to send in more law enforcement just to clean up Trump's mess."
Similarly, Senator Cory Booker (D-NY) said, "The reality is, we see peaceful protests launching in Los Angeles."
"A lot of these peaceful protests are being generated because the president of the United States is sowing chaos and confusion by arresting people who are showing up for their immigration hearings," Sen. Booker added.
On Friday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) vowed to unmask ICE agents receiving death threats, which Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) called "reprehensible."
"This is reprehensible. The House Minority Leader threatened to dox our courageous @ICEgov agents for protecting our communities," Rep. Biggs said, "Democrats continue to be pro-crime and anti-law enforcement."
