Iran has indiscriminately fired sundry inter-ballistic missiles against Israel.
Iran’s attacks are a retaliation against Israel’s recent attacks targeting the former’s nuclear development programs.
Israel condemned Iran’s attacks.
“Israeli civilians are currently being targeted by the Iranian regime,” reads an IDF statement. “The world cannot stay silent.”
While Israel’s missile defense system, colloquially known as the Iron Dome, intercepted most of Iran’s missiles, some reportedly struck civilian infrastructure in Tel Aviv.
Israel recently struck key Iranian nuclear development facilities and personnel, weakening Iran’s capability to obtain nuclear weapons - a goal Iran has been steadfastly working towards for decades.
As reported by The Floridian’s Javier Manjarres, Israel targeted and eliminated Iran'snuclear enrichment sites, ballistic missile procurement facilities, and top military commanders, including Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’sRevolutionary Guard.
Israel has justified its attacks as necessary given the existential threat Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons poses for its country and the US.
Iran Watch, an organization devoted to exposing Iran’s weapons development programs, recently reported Iran is dangerously close to obtaining nuclear weapons.
Iran Watch claimed Iran has “accomplished over 90% of the work needed to bring natural uranium to weapon-grade.”
Similarly, Israel claims Iran “is nearing a point of no return” in its quest to obtain nuclear weapons.
Iranian leaders have previously shamelessly voiced their intentions of “destroying” and bringing “death” to Israel, the US, and their allies.
This is a developing story.
