As the international conservative movement gathers momentum across Europe, one of its most high-profile annual events is just days away—and Florida will be front and center. CPAC Hungary, powered by the Center for Fundamental Rights, hosted in Budapest from May 29-30, is poised to draw conservative thought leaders from around the globe.

This year, the Sunshine State is sending a powerhouse delegation. Dr. Miklos Szantho, Chairman of CPAC Hungary and Matt Schlapp, Chairman of CPAC will be hosting a kick-off press conference on Wednesday, May 28th in Budapest. The Floridian  Publisher Javier Manjarres will once again be present to cover the conference.

Among the prominent Floridians scheduled to speak on the main stage and attend are Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro, political commentator Dave Rubin, and Bryan E. Leib, founder of Henry Public Relations and former CPAC-endorsed 2024 Congressional Candidate (FL-25).

All three men are expected to speak at the conference, joining a slate of international dignitaries, heads of state, and rising stars in the global conservative movement.

Shapiro, Rubin, and Leib are proudly Jewish, and their participation carries added significance given that Hungary is widely regarded as the most pro-Jewish and pro-Israel country in Europe.

CPAC Hungary, organized by the Center for Fundamental Rights, is rapidly becoming a marquee event for those committed to national sovereignty, border security, religious liberty, and traditional values. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán—a staunch ally of President Donald J. Trump and a leading voice for conservative values in Europe—is expected to deliver opening remarks and meet with several American delegates privately.

For Florida’s conservative base, this gathering represents more than a symbolic gesture of solidarity—it’s an opportunity to showcase the state’s leadership on the global stage.

“Florida has become the heartbeat of the conservative movement in America,” said Bryan Leib ahead of his trip. “Whether it’s defending religious liberty, combating antisemitism, or advocating for America First trade and foreign policy, we’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies in Hungary who are leading the fight against globalism and left-wing radicalism in Europe.”

Florida’s involvement in CPAC Hungary is also seen as a signal of alignment between conservative movements in the U.S. and Central Europe—particularly when it comes to cultural issues, immigration, and confronting antisemitism.

CPAC Hungary is one of several international conferences modeled after the original Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the United States. While past international CPACs have taken place in Brazil, Mexico, and Japan, the Budapest summit has become a flagship gathering for conservatives across the Atlantic.

With less than a week to go until the opening ceremonies, Florida’s conservative delegation is gearing up to make waves—not just in Budapest, but back home as well.

As Leib put it, “We’re going to Budapest to deepen our international alliances and bring conservative values back to the forefront, both in Europe and here in America.”
