Steube Blasts Biden, 'Weak on Terrorism'

Although the Biden Administration has redesignated the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), it only came after the group escalated their attacks on the Red Sea. Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) ripped the reversal as a "slap on the wrist" in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Evening Edit, further calling the Biden Administration "weak on terrorism."

As others have pointed out, Rep. Steube said the Houthis were labeled an FTO under President Donald Trump, yet "as soon as the Biden Administration got elected, they removed them." Additionally, he derided the Department of State's attitude toward the removal, which he said was, "[The Houthis] are not going to fill out a visa and get admitted into the country."

"They don't have to," Rep. Steube continued, "They just have to come to the southern border, where ten million illegal immigrants have been entering into our country, more than 100-something, almost 200 designated terrorists on the terrorist watchlist."

Host Elizabeth MacDonald briefly turned over to heightened tensions between Iran and Pakistan, who have launched strikes against each other in the Baluchistan/Sistan region, asking how this will affect the current tensions in the Middle East.

"[Tensions] are increasing because we have weak leadership in this White House," said Steube, "And if the United States is not standing strong on foreign policy and being the leader in the world, then other people are going to take our place, and you are going to see these types of attacks."

Steube further suggested these tensions have been allowed to happen because of how the Biden Administration has acted previously. Namely, he pointed at the aid money being given to the Palestinian Authority as Israel battles Hamas and the $6 billion ransom paid to Iran that more than likely went to fund Hamas and the Houthis.

"And then we wonder why all of these munitions and all of these terrorist attacks are happening around the Middle East and around the world," Steube concluded.
