WASHINGTON—The continued and unprovoked military strikes against U.S. Military assets in the Middle East by Iranian-proxy militias and terrorist organizations, that have now resulted in the deaths of three American servicemen, American lawmakers in Washington like Sen. Lindsey Graham and Rep. Carlos Gimenez want to see the Biden Administration conduct direct military action against the  regime in Iran.

President Biden has said that his administration would eventually address the Iranian aggression that resulted in the deaths of the soldiers, but Rep. Gimenez sees the apparent soft-stepped approach to addressing the issue as a sign of weakness.

Rep. Gimenez asserted that the U.S. needed to strike at Iran directly, both economically and militarily

“Iran wants to destroy Israel and then they want to destroy the United States. There is no negotiating with people like this,” said Gimenez in a sitdown interview with The Floridian. “Instead of trying to hit some ammunition depot in the middle of the desert, they really need to start hitting some assets, both of their allies and if it’s Iran itself, so be it.”

Gimenez continued, adding that if any group or country were to attack the U.S., they would “burned right away.”

”When you touch a hot stove you get burned right away, so, if you hit the United States, you ought to get burned right away,” added Gimenez.
