WINTER HAVEN- Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) channeled his old 2020 playbook by tearing apart Progressives on COVID-19, this time addressing the Wuhan Lab leak theory as well as labeling the coronavirus the "woke virus."

After years of denial and insisting the explanation was no more than a conspiracy theory, it is slowly being commonly accepted that COVID-19 originated in a Chinese lab.

Although it has been years since the United States first initiated the movement to "Stop the spread," DeSantis revisited the issue that launched him to national prominence.

Gov. DeSantis called this denial a "cover up," the governor added, "They wanted to say it came from a wet market... it turns out a lot of the reasons I think they were concerned about acknowledging it came from a lab is because our own government had funded data function research.  They're sending money to Wuhan and other places that are very risky.  So we know it came from a lab."

DeSantis then said that the experts on COVID-19 "beclowned themselves," when it came to other issues surrounding the outbreak of coronavirus in the Spring of 2020, that being the Black Lives Matter protests across the nation.

"At that point all these experts where always attacking Florida, If you leave your house, they were saying, you're putting other people at risk." DeSantis added, "They actually wrote a letter saying this, and in that same letter they said, 'It's fine to go out and protest with BLM, but that does not mean it's okay to protest against lockdowns and other things.  So this was presumably a woke virus."
