Florida’s political world convenes in Tallahassee today, Valentine’s Day, for another committee week.
While you won’t find Republican lawmakers exchanging sweet-tasting pleasantries and love notes with their Democratic colleagues, you may find them coming together to talk about the “Great Beyond.”
Today is also Space Day at the Capitol, but don’t expect lawmakers walking around with lightsabers, except for Rep. Blaise Ingoglia and CFO Jimmy Patronis, who are without question your typical space cadets.
While Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker won’t be making an appearance, Tony Antonelli, an actual Astronaut, will.
The 3rd floor of the Capitol will look like the Star Wars bar scene as vendors converge to display their space exploration goods.
